Abstract
In 1990, Parnes developed new technique of posterior smeicircular canal occlusion in order to relieve the intractable benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).
Recently, we have experienced a patient with intractable BPPV and performed Parnes' technique. The positional vertigenous attack was completely relieved after surgery.
We feel this new technique provides easier, safe and less risky alternative to singular neurectomy. (Korean J Otolaryngol 38:5, 1995)
